Glossary:
I&C is a subarea of automation technology that considers the overlaps of the individual disciplines (measurement technology, control technology and regulation technology). This involves the recording of physical variables, their further processing and their behavior in the context of systems.
During measurement, a value is recorded. The control influences the recorded measured value via actuators. In closed-loop control, there is a feedback between the recorded value and the control of the actuator, e.g. to keep a temperature stable at a setpoint.
