Glossar:
Film evaporation is a process for generating pure steam.
In this process, feed water is fed through a downcomer into an evaporator. The level is kept at a constant height during this process. The water flows through a pipe into the external heat exchanger where it is heated to the required temperature. It then flows out of the heat exchanger back into the clean steam generator, where steam is produced.
